Bill Homann show the Skull which inspired our lifes so much.
From the 1950s on, a
considerable number of books began to appear regarding the Crystal
Skull, not to mention the scientific publications that examined it
in depth.
There are also many recent books and films inspired by the skull
and its adventurous finder, F.A. Mitchell-Hedges.
The Indiana Jones saga just recently
portrayed the story of an ancient crystal skull; the storyline for
this movie is taken from the 13 skulls legend that he received from
the mayan elders, when he found the skull. The character of Indiana
Jones also probably owes a lot to F.A. Mitchell-Hedges, our
archetypal adventurer. But Indiana Jones is not the only fictitious
character to be indebted to the crystal skulls. We find
clear references to skulls in an episode of the popular serial
Stargate, which indeed has the title
Crystal Skull.
On a more scientific, less narrative note, on the other hand, the
subject was explored in depth in a documentary produced by
NBC in association with Sci-Fi Channel, entitled Mystery
of the Crystal Skulls, in 2008.
The NBC crew filmed Bill Homann in Indiana, Sedona (Arizona),
Belize and Honduras, gathering his personal memories together with
valuable information on Mitchell-Hedges and the mysteries of the
skull he found.
