The Bill Homann Inheritance

“Spirituality and God have always been the center of my life as far back as I can remember. I went to a Christian school and religion was my favorite subject. After graduation I continued my studies in world religions and various spiritual pathways, always being open to the experience of a more holistic way of living and thinking.
In the 70’s and early 80’s I studied Eckancar and that was where I learned to go within for the ultimate truth. Since then I have worked with the Rosicrucian teachings which have influenced me until this day.”

A Matter Of Destiny

Anna Mitchell HedgesThe first time I heard about the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull was when I was in the air force while stationed at Panama in 1968.  I remember seeing a picture of it in an article I was reading and I thought it was strange that I couldn’t take my eyes from it. While in Panama the stories of F.A. Mitchell-Hedges intrigued me; adventure stories fit for publishing, that sounded like fiction, but were incredibly true and tangible. So real that they remained forcefully with me through the years.
Many years later I heard about Anna Mitchell-Hedges and the Crystal Skull from friends in Chicago. I called Anna and set up an appointment to meet with her and the skull in 1981. That was when I saw this remarkable artifact made of pure rock crystal for the first time.”

Anna and The Crystal Skull

Anna e il Teschio di Cristallo“Meeting Anna for the first time left me feeling like I had known her forever and we became instant friends.  That feeling only grew stronger as we spent more and more time together and we both came to realize that our bond was karmic.
When I saw the Crystal Skull for the first time it felt like meeting with an old friend.  There was a feeling of respect, connection and communication with it. I felt compelled to work with it.
In the last eight years of Anna’s life I had the privilege of having her live with me so that I could watch over her and take care of her. Because of our strong bond she has honored me by trusting that I will carry on her wishes concerning the future of the skull.
Anna told me explicitely what she wanted done with the skull and how to take care of it. I gave her my promise and will fulfill that promise to her all my life. The skull is with me today, because she wanted it to be, and this skull always choose its Guardian.
Anna was one of my favorite teachers and best friend; a great soul and a blessing to me every day. I plan on letting the world know about two great souls, Anna and her father. I want everyone to know about their life, their adventures and what they did for mankind.”

Bill Homann: a Biography

Bill Homann con i suoi allieviBill Homann is the current owner and caretaker of the “Mitchell-Hedges” Crystal Skull. Anna Mitchell-Hedges spent the last eight years of her life living in Bill's home under his tender care. She passed away on April 11th, Bill's birthday, at the age of 100. It is Bill's desire and hope, to carry on Anna and her father's legacy with the Crystal Skull.
Bill Homann was born in the small, charming town of La Porte, Indiana.  He has the same adventurous spirit as F.A. Mitchell-Hedges, his great hero, and “Indiana Jones” himself.
In his youth he was blessed with inordinate amounts of energy, which he channeled into the martial arts, as a way to give direction and balance to his energies. He immediately realized that the true essence of the martial arts is love. This awareness led him to cultivate a steady inner peace that enabled him to love himself and others.
As a teenager he learned judo. During the service he moved on to Karate, Tae Kwon Do and Aikido. Whilst he was in Panama in 1969, he became a black belt in Soryu Karate Do.
When he finished his military service he returned to Indiana, and in 1971 he opened his martial arts school, the “Michigan City Karate Academy”.
In 1984 Bill met George Dillman, father of the modern “pressure point theory and manipulation” and studied this art with him. He immediately realized that his last step would be to study Tuite-Jitsu and Kyusho-Jitsu.
Bill is an eighth dan in Ryukyu Kempo, style of karate typical of Okinawa.
Bill, his son Brett and his wife Kimmie are partners and co-owners of the “Homann Karate Do” in Crown Point, Indiana, and Homann Karate 2 in Michigan City, Indiana. He can be found evenings, when he's not travelling with the skull, passing on his passion and dedication to his students.
Bill firmly believes that the Crystal Skull and the martial arts have the power to channel energy and get it flowing. Like martial arts, the Skull helps with mental, physical and emotional balance guiding us towards an in-depth knowledge of ourselves and all that surrounds us.
